Vizio LCD VS420LF1A.

Won't power up from panel button or remote, yet has the front 'Vizio' pilot lamp in amber.

Probing the power supply, seeing 5 volts on the connector going to the main digital board, but 12 volts is absent.

Lines on the connector are labeled:
Inverter
DIM
5 V
12 V
GND

Does the power supply board receive a trigger signal from the main board (inverter line) to start 12V and the lamp supplies? Or is the supply likely at fault?

The heat sink on the controller is getting warm, so think the board is functioning, somewhat.

Any clues from the experts?

Anyone have a theory of operation or a service manual for this model? Hate to dispose of it if it's something simple.
