This set comes on with good picture for a second and then goes off. Sound
stays on. Never had this model in shop before. No manuel . Anyone had this
problem with this set? Thanks. Troy |

Hey Troy, what does the LED do??? Does it stay blue then change to orange
or does it turn purple? |

Jeff, It comes on Blue and stays Blue after the picture goes off. Sound
still fine.Troy |

That's good! Means the main board is OK. Try a hard re-boot: while
powered up pull ac plug out for 2 minutes.
Plug back in and see if it reset itself. |

I have one in the shop (Westinghouse SK32H240S) that would play for 20-30
min, then pic would break up and go to a mass of vertical lines. The sound
remained fine. The fix was cleaning and reseating the connector that's
under the big metal box that runs top to bottom in the center. I just
removed the screws around the perimeter of that box and could get it loose
and turned far enough to reach the connector underneath, that appeared to go to the display. The set's played fine for days, they're picking it up
tomorrow. Sorry I don't know the terms for the components involved, I just
noticed that the connector didn't look completely seated on first
inspection. Got to have dumb luck once in a while. Hope this helps. |

What does this mean? Do I need to replace power supply unit or main
board?
