working on this unit has a split screen left half is perfect video and sound
right half has colored bars of yellow and blue and pink but if u look u can see the video in behind it anyone got any ideas? called andrews electronics dealer for westhinghouse
the "main" module is shockingly cheap 160 bucks by far the cheapest module price ive ever seen for an lcd but im not sure if the inverter board is the issue or not?
inverter board is sold only with the front screen and is already no longer available...

I could be wrong but, this sounds like the old 200v boost voltage filter problem. It would cause either jail bars or wide bands of color distortion from the right side. I had to quit working a few years ago so, I cant look up the manual to tell you what to check. It couldn't hurt for you to just look for low micro farad capacitors in those supply lines.

Sounds like possibly a defective display to me. Jim, that's an LCD, doesn't
have that boost voltage on it as there is no CRT. But it is either the
display or the digital processor board. Good luck finding either one.

I would first unplug and examine the LVDS cable for corrosion. Common problem. If cable is ok Steve is most likely correct.
