Hey fellows,
I got a zenith sl3285bg 32" tube set. Its been acting up lately. For the past three months, when you turn it on the picture is there but its all cyan color. After about 20-30 minutes the colors come back to normal and the picture is fine. For the past couple of weeks, when you first turn it on the picture is blue now. As before, 20 -30 minutes go by and the color is fine.
It appears once it warms up its fine. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions
on what might be causing this. Could you point me in the right direction?
Thank you for your time!

Is the color changing all at once or gradually??

If it is all at once check the CRT PCB for bad connections. Bad connections are common on this unit on the CRT PCB. When the set is cold the connections do not make contact and when the set warms up the connections expand and the color change is sudden. An Inspection of the CRT PCB with a magnifying glass is warranted.

Hope this helps.

Hello Jesse,
Yes the color changes back to normal all at once. Right now, first turn it on, blueish picture for about a half hour than bam, good picture all of a sudden. That crt pcb is the one that plugs in to the back of the tube right? Thanks for your time!

That is correct, using a magnafying glass you will most likely find a bad connection on this board.
